How much does CarryU pay drivers?
CarryU takes a flat 25% commission on the gross fare. Drivers keep 75% plus 100% of tips. There are no per-ride booking deductions taken before the commission is calculated.
What do I need to drive for CarryU in California?
You need to be at least 21 years old with a valid California driver license held for at least one year, personal auto insurance in your name, a four-door vehicle model year 2012 or newer, a passing 19-point inspection from a Bureau of Automotive Repair licensed facility, and a cleared criminal background check and driving record review.
Is CarryU cheaper than Uber or Lyft?
CarryU prices trips using a published base fare plus per-mile and per-minute rates, with no algorithmic surge multiplier. Fares vary by trip and by city, so the best comparison is the quoted price shown in the app before you book.
Does CarryU allow pets?
Yes. Riders can flag a trip as travelling with pets before booking so drivers can accept accordingly. Service animals are always accepted and cannot be refused.
